ModdingLong before the Steam Workshop, Tripwire (which grew from modding roots) has been very supportive of the modding communities that have grown up around their games. From maps, to mutators (which covered new weapons, gameplay changes and more), to Total Conversions that completely changed the game. None of that has changed, and Tripwire continues to support those communities as much as possible. To that end, Tripwire has decided to implement Steam Workshop, a better method for modders and those who would use them to upload, find, and use content!
Getting Started With WorkshopAs of September 2012, Killing Floor has supported Steam Workshop. Workshop allows modders to easily upload their content for a game and make it available for all the people that own it. For end users (not mod makers), it offers a one click solution to find mods that they like for a game they own, and always have it be up to date and ready to play on any machine they may play the game on.
The only thing modders and players need to access and use Killing Floor and the Workshop is to have Steam, and own Killing Floor. The Workshop and the SDK are free to all owners of the game.
Players looking for instructions on how to subscribe, download and use workshop content should skip to player section of this article.
ModdersIn The EditorThis section will cover the new additions to the editor that allow modders to upload their content to the Workshop. This section will not cover how to use the Killing Floor Editor. Players can find more in depth tutorials and pages on that here.
Modders opening up the Killing Floor editor will now find new entries under the tools list.

The new entries are:
Update Steam Workshop UploadUpload File(s) to Steam WorkshopUploading New FilesThe first thing modders will want to do, is to upload their maps and mutators to the workshop for the first time. To do this they need to select
Upload File(s) to Steam WorkshopWhen they have done so they will be presented with the following 'Upload Box'

UploadingOnce the player is familiar with the Upload Box, they need to fill it out and select the file(s) for upload. This includes the maps, textures, static meshes, and .u files associated with their content.
An example of a filled out and ready to upload map can be found in the image below for KF-MountainPassNight

After filling out the Upload Box and hitting the upload button, the player will be informed that the content is uploading in the example below:

The upload will either end in success, and the modder will receive the message:
Upload Successfulor in an error in which case the modder will see:
The Upload Has FailedIn which case the modder will need to debug why, and try again.
Updating Existing ContentModders wanting to update their content that they already have uploaded to the Workshop can do so. This will allow players of their content to automatically be updated to the latest version without having to do anything on their own.
To do so, modders need to select the
Update Steam Workshop Uploadoption from the tools list. After doing so they will be presented with a list of content they have uploaded previously.

After selecting the content they would like to update, they will be presented with the Upload box already filled out with the previous settings and files used to upload that content. They can make the needed changes (if any) and proceed to upload.
Reset Steam Workshop Update HistoryIf you have noticed that your maps are not showing in the "Update Steam Workshop Upload" forms, you can use the "Reset Steam Workshop Update History" command.

Known Errors to AvoidAll content uploaded to the Workshop must follow the following rules:
All content uploaded (including the preview image for the content) must be contained within the Killing Floor file directory. Content uploaded can only be the following file types: Maps (.rom), Texture, Static Mesh, and Script (.u)
All content be uploaded from their proper location (Maps, Texture, System, Static Mesh folders) within the file directory as it will help with the update process
On SteamAfter a successful upload of content to Steam, modders have the ability to view their content in the workshop and change some settings related to it.
By going to Steam, Community, Workshop, modders and players will find an option to navigate Killing Floor Workshop files. Modders will also find an option to view
Your Workshop Files
Your Workshop Files

Following this link will present the modder with a list of content that they have uploaded.

My Workshop Files

Selecting individual content will allow them to view the current workshop settings for it and make changes.

Workshop Item Page

Items that can be changed on the item's workpage include
Title & DescriptionAdd and edit Images & Videos
Delete
Change Visibility - Hidden, Friends Only, and Public
PlayersNavigating The WorkshopWith the introduction of the Steam Workshop to Killing Floor, players now have a new way to browse, find, and subscribe to community created content that they like.
Hey there, Tripwire forums. I'm a relatively new KF modder. Since the KF workshop is terrible for uploading mods, I've decided to create a topic here. Over time, I'll be updating it with anything that I happen to make. Feel free to sample my work, modify it as you please, or use it wherever. Thanks.

Weapons:

Type-19 Assault Rifle
A loose port of the Counter-Strike: Source P90 replacement. The Type-19 is a futuristic assault rifle made for the Commando class.
Download Type-19
Screenshot

XM8 Assault Rifle
My first weapon. Another assault rifle for the Commando class, yet somewhat weak.
Download XM8
Screenshot

Doom 3 Shotgun
A shoddy attempt at a port of the Doom 3 shotgun. For the Support Specialist class.
Download Doom 3 Shotgun
Screenshot

XMk5 Submachine Gun
A port from the Ballistics Weapon Pack for UT2004. Rather than poison darts, they're medic darts. For the Medic class.
Download XMk5 SMG
Screenshot

Minecraft Iron Axe
Modeled from scratch. The Iron Axe from Minecraft, now as a melee weapon. For the Berserker class.
Download Iron Axe
Screenshot

Quake 3 Shotgun
Although slightly different, this shotgun is still a port of the Quake 3 shotty. It fires both barrels at once and has a laser. For the Support class.
Download Q3 Shotgun
Screenshot

Lilith's Kisses
A special for Valentine's Day, this is a set of dual automatic drum-mag shotguns. Good luck beating him, you'll need it.

ChangeLog and ReadMe are available right now on this post's attachments. One important requested feature I want to note here is that players spawning without a perk with start with the Perk Poker in their hands. I'm looking into further options to help new players oriented and kicking arse in-game.

The ServerResources are .uz2's for people running servers- you don't need them if you just want to play WTFMut.

PATCH 1.3 TO 1.4
If you have 1.3 already, this is all you need.

WTFMut v1.4 PATCH: http://db.tt/KTzPb1y

WTFMut v1.4 PATCH Server Resources: http://db.tt/uFLapCH

PATCH
If you already have WTFMut v1.2, this is all you need.

WTFMut v1.3 PATCH: http://db.tt/h1Q4WcZ

WTFMut v1.3 PATCH Server Resouces: http://db.tt/ZHzB8Fq

FULL INSTALL
If you don't have WTFMut v1.2 installed, you need the FULL version of 1.3 to play.

WTFMut v1.3 FULL: http://db.tt/bY4iZxS

WTFMut v1.3 FULL Server Resources: http://db.tt/HayaXqV

MISC
If you don't have 2K4Menus.utx in your Textures folder, you'll need it.

You can get it here: http://db.tt/ZWMXwsK

Thanks & Credits are in the ReadMe.

Since a few newcomers were asking...

WTFMut consists of two mutators: WTFZombies & WTFMut. WTFZombies randomly replaces zeds with different variations throughout the game. WTFMut implements custom perks, adds new functionality to most of the base equipment, and adds a few brand new items as well.

Edit: Peas and Myself are creating a Wiki that details the many, many changes WTFMut includes. Videos, pictures, server setups, and new player orientation info will all be included.

--
BEEEEEES

We will probably be rebuilding the workshop entries at some point as well as that has been problematic, probably next update.

31/01/2012

Aliens KF Version 1.2 now released. We've been working on some fixes and updates. Including bugfixes and additional features. UPDATE is due soon.

We also plan to include some localisation. Currently English (international) and Russian will be supported. If you'd like to see us support your language then get in touch and we'll work with you to accommodate your needs.

In the mean time here is the source code as promised. This is an old build and has been changed so people can't just recompile and cause version mismatches. This is for people to learn from, not simply rip off.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?6thhse73cu5y9cu

06/12/2012

Now on Workshop!

04/12/2012

Updates planned. - I know what you are thinking, you lot a nuts, or something to that effect. Well just so you have something to look forward to ontop of enjoying the mod we have an update planned for early January. Now I'm not going to spoil any details at this point. But lets just say you may have some new toys and playmates.

30/11/2012

Aliens : Killing Floor is now released!

That's right, after long last WPC brings you the one of the most comprehensive mods to date! Head on over to the new website to get the details and grab the download. Workshop downloads will become available soon.

http://www.mostimpressive.nl/AKF/
Update 25/11/2012

Ok, getting a bit closer to release. We will be releasing the mod with some mapping tools to help make custom maps that will allow the Xenomorphs to navigate along walls.

Here is a quick break down of the process.

Pathing Tutorial for Aliens Killing Floor - YouTube

It was late and I was tired. That was my excuse. =P
UPDATE 21/11/2012

Just thought I'd update the OP. I know we keep saying soon soon, but trust me, we want this out there as much as you do (or might, you might not even give damn but anyway). Just a small status update really.

We are detail duty people. That's right, no gamebreaking bugs (that we know about). Some cool looking maps to go with release. We are chasing down those last few details and making it so you'll hopefully survive more than two mins on your first trip.

UPDATE 10/11/2012

As of this update we are coming closer to release. Single player is an intense almost suicidal mission. Online is almost the same just with friends.

Currently there is a quickly shrinking list of things that need doing and only two bugs (that we know of, I'm sure peeps will find more on release.)

----------------

We've been teasing about this for a while, some of you have even seen bits of it and even got your hands on assets from an old servers and other mods.
(Sentry Gun, Flamer, M41AS, Ithaca, Motion Tracker, even rumours of a Xeno on someone's server.)

But none of that, absolutely none of that, compares to the real thing. Well we at WPC think it's about time to actually show what is happening and how close we are to finishing the project. To kick it off here are two videos giving a sneak preview.

Preview Videos

PREVIEW 3 - Note this shows the unfinished project and as such is subject to change
AKF Sneak Preview 3 - YouTube

More videos
Spoiler!

PREVIEW 1 - Note this shows the unfinished project and as such is subject to change.
AKFPreview - YouTube
PREVIEW 2 - Note this shows the unfinished project and as such is subject to change.
AKFPreview2 - YouTube

ScreenShots
NOTE - Very Large Pictures. We WILL be releasing the source code in due time although in a non compilable format. Certainly we wouldn't dream of selling the code, not only is it somewhat unethical it is a breach of the EULA.

We want people to be able to learn from us, but not mess with the mod. We will be continuing to update and add to this mod for some time. We would rather not have multiple versions of the mod floating around causing mismatches etc.

Maybe this is a topic for another thread but since when has it been all right to edit an authors work and then distribute it? Is it only recently or has it been around a long time in Unreal. I'd understand if we'd abandoned the mod. But we've only just bloody released it.

Mod Info

All mod info can be found on the official website for it. http://www.mostimpressive.nl/AKF/

Credits

-HEMI
-BRAINDEAD
-WHISKY
-MARCO

Also thanks to the mappers that put some maps together for us, cheers guys.

-FEL
-HaTeMe
-Mr RoBot

If I've missed someone from this list it is not intentional, we've worked with so many people over the year or so of this mods development, if you feel you should be added please send me a message and I'll be sure to amend the list.

---
Gartley

Updated: 23/01/2013

KFL Mod Release

We've decided we wanted to release the mod to the public for everyone to enjoy.

Description: It's the KFL mod, like the WTF mod (and derives some content from it).

It adds in new weapons, specimens and perks. It gives more levels and changes the way the game works.

There is a total of 8 perks with icons made by Candlejack and weapons ported from RO and made by the KF Community.

There is a modified RTD system, with alot more rolls.

Things like the Doom 3 monsters, Brute and the Shiver as well as KFL-exclusive specimens like the bloat mother and nut grabber.

NOTE: The KFL Mod must be played in the "Long" game length, as the zed squads were only configured for that

Downloads:

Today I was practicing rigging and happened to do the bow from Far Cry 3, I was wondering if anyone would want it in KF?

Think I'll put the development stats up here:
Programming 65%
AnimationSequences:
Draw 100%
Draw_Loaded 100%
Reload 100%
Draw_Back 100%
Fire 100%
Draw_Empty 100%
Holster 100%
Holster_Unloaded 100%
TensionRelease 100%
Idle_Unloaded 100%
Idle_Loaded 100%
Idle_Iron 100%
Hit_Loaded 0% (Later Release)
Hit_Empty 0% (Later Release)
StaticMeshes:
Arrow 100%
Bow 100%
Engine Implementation:
100%
Sounds:
0%

Looking for someone to program and someone for sounds

----
The_Sorrow

[Weapon] Fleshpounders

Finally, first version to be released to the public. This is still in beta so a few things will be unfinished and others still need to be polished. If you want to modify these I only ask that you at least notify me and rename the files to avoid server mismatch errors.

Anyways the fleshpounders are a new berserker weapon that are a sidegrade to the chainsaw. They share the saw's poor movement speed, but can pack a serious punch. They're set up to be used with Marco's ServerPerks, located here:
Thank you Marco!
When installed they should appear in the trader menu. More detailed installation instructions can be found in the readme, but they're installed the same way as most other weapon mutators are so if you can do those, this should be no problem. The readme also includes detailed statistics on this weapon so if you're interested in those, look no farther. Lastly, if by chance you require the actual source files for anything just give me a shout.

Known bugs/things yet to be implemented;

third-person/world animations/model/texture
sound/animation refinement
combined texture/gloss effect
alt fire is not working as intended yet (see readme)
I currently plan to increase primary fire speed after fixing the alt

AS50 Sniper Rifle

As most of you know, I have been away but had this bad boy unfinished at the time. Currently im sorry but I thought i'll give a little teaser whilst I now have it in beta on my custom server. It's being altered constantly to improve as I go along so DO NOT use this outside of MY server.

A little teaser:
http://www.xfire.com/video/5dbf68/
